I knew Duck Tape came in more than just grey, but this is something really special. First it’s an excuse for me to talk about utility tape again for the second time in a week, so I’m really… ahem… ON A ROLL. Get it? On a roll? Because it’s tape, and… yeah, [...] You know we’re only a few years away from there being grandparents who are knitting on the front porch while reminiscing about the 8-bit videogames they used to play in their youth. [Image source: imgur] That’s great, but that’s not what the underwater worlds looked like. Which music would play? I’m torn between my love of awesomeness and my need to be a pedantic geek. While Nintendo sold children on a charming tale of a humble plumber taking an exciting fantasy adventure, the real story was more likely that after taking some “magic mushrooms” he tripped out and hallucinated the whole thing. Fortunately for the children, 8 bit graphics just couldn’t portray to truly horrifying things (imagined or not) [...] |
