Good afternoon, everyone.

I haven’t done a post on huge industrial machines for a while, so I did some housecleaning and put together all the bits that I’ve collected on some of the giant lathes built by the now-defunct Craven Brothers Company and some others. These big machines were made for the builders of maritime ship engines, locomotive works, and other manufacturers of large machinery. Lathes aren’t necessarily all that complicated, but these big boys have a lot of pieces to them that their smaller brethren lack. Such as multiple ladders, for instance.
