Interestingly, I saw a Microsoft Surface booth at West Edmonton Mall recently. This was not the reaction from the populace. I freely admit, I really don’t “get” the iPad, or any of the various clones. There must be a hundred different Android clones out there, and now Microsoft is half-assedly diving into the [...] Back in 1984, Apple released a SuperBowl ad entitled “1984″. And now, years later, nobody remembers what a SuperBowl was, but everyone still remembers that ad. It was a brilliant thumb in the face of Corporate Murica, which, up to that point, was defined by a lock-step compliance with each company’s mantra. IBM [...] My nephew, Noodle, asked me once what a “doosh-bag” was. I wasn’t sure how to respond to a six year old asking such things. If I had access to this photo at the time, I could have pulled it out and shown it to him. I count two iPads fully equipped with keyboards, [...] “Can you hear me now?” Because I am a filthy hipster douchebag, I went out and got myself a new iPhone 5 a few weeks ago. It’s great, but I can’t really say I’m excited about it at all. It’s another iPhone, and it does iPhone-type thingies. It makes appropriately happy blinky-lights and [...] Our dear engineerd posted the other day about the various levels of fervour for each of the world’s major religions. According to his infographic, Apple led the religion with the most enthusiasm, but I personally think the Apple fanbois have been eclipsed completely by those of the Android camp. As they say on the Simpsons, ‘Some folk’ll never eat a skunk; But then again, some folk’ll…” Well, we aren’t exactly talking about skunks here, but about lifestyle brands. Some folk’ll never go all in, but then again, some folk’ll. For those folk who not only love Apple products, but who want to live and embrace the style, you should feel good knowing that Apple has been providing not just products, but fashionable accessories, for longer than just the life of the iPhone. Take a look back with me at some of the great fashions available not so very long ago! OK, before you get all bent out of shape let me clarify: I own and have enjoyed Apple products. I have also owned and enjoyed other products. I would not call myself a fanboy, but I have been to an Apple store and it did feel very much like this.
