I have:

%wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

in my /etc/sudoers. I run as non-root just so I don't have the power to mess up my machine at all times. However, I don't see any point to having it behind a password.

If someone steals my laptop they can… use all my CAD/CAM programs, and look at pictures of exhibits I've built. It's not even my laptop, it's the museum's.

I would miss that carton of Camel's I have hidden in there to keep them away from my house mates, though.

For several years, my spawn were the only children on a street populated by the original homeowners, all in their 70s and 80s. I commend you for your patience and understanding.

One funny sidenote – a few years back, I decided it would be a good idea to build a 17 foot tall punkin' chucking trebuchet in the backyard. We have a lot of room for such shenanigans, but I was concerned about the oldsters' reactions. About a week after the initial test firing, I was amazed to find a pile of pumpkins at the end of the driveway, courtesy of a couple of the old coots. Turns out they thought it was as much fun as we did.

As far as I can tell, the crazy Flash Gordon rings behind the engines were an attempt at noise suppression in the days before turbofan engines.
