    Is that a track unit from one of the Marion Saturn V transporters or just a random item on LeTourneau's back lot?

    • The tag on the source link indicated that it was part of the Saturn transporter, but without any amplifying documentation.

      But just a random piece of tracked goodness would be awesome too…

      I don't think it has enough random use of rack and pinions to be on the LeTourneau back lot. They had to take a few tries at a wheel loader:

      I will grant that once they figured out that hydraulics made sense for linear actuators, they settled on the modern wheel loader layout (articulated steering with the cab located on the rear frame), years before some other manufacturers did.
