Sometimes Free Stuff Isn’t Worth It

Here lately I have been trying to sell a few unused items on the craigslist (not giving them away yet, but we’ll see how long it takes to get to that point). One particular item, I have gotten lots of “Do you still have it?” texts, to which I reply yes, and then that is the end of it. Yesterday, I got this in response to my yes, which seems totally legitimate:

How long u have had it? i’ll buy it asap.i’ll be paying via a bank certified check.i’ll make arrangement for the pick-up afterpayment has been received and cleared in your bank.text me with your full name and  add in which the payment will be mail to you &can you send me some pics ?

Needless to say, I mentioned I preferred cash, and that was the end of that…

Last week our winner was Devin, who spotted a whole mess of free upside-down baby formula! Nice job, and nice literary reference! Simple seeming product, sure, until you consider just how much technology and effort go into making this stuff as close to the human manufactured original product. Now, don’t be a baby, get out there this week and see what sort of fun you can dredge up!
