I tend to stick mostly to groups XI and VIII (mostly XI). I will happily drink the darker variants from the other groups, as well as group XX. I do occasionally try things outside those, but I have always found I prefer my beer to look like used oil rather than new. (Go ahead, make the joke about it tasting like the old oil, too. Where's the column for the noble gases given off when consuming beer?
I've had 1 of every group but have learned to stay away from Groups IV and V. I don't like the bitter IPA's.
I tend to stick with darker beers and hefe's.
I've definitely tried them all. I may even have an example or two of every one in my cellar…
