Reader chrystlubitshi sent in a tip that had to be run
immediately within days of its arrival. Above is a Cummins QSK95 engine. Made of Lego. It was built last weekend at Brickworld in Chicago by a Cummins Brickworld Build Team, which includes Cummins engineers as well as students and teachers.
Not only is it Lego, so it’s awesome, and an engine, so it’s awesomer, but it’s a way that Cummins was able to get students excited about engineering. Considering my decision to be an engineer was due in large part to my love of assembling Legos into my own creations, I’d say that Cummins may be on to something.
