User Input: Speedy Delivery

2011 Audi R18 -- a thing of beauty.

It is a long weekend up here in the Great White North. It is Victoria Day, named, as we all know, for King George V’s first girlfriend from high school who was seriously like a 14 on a 1-10 scale. I am taking full advantage of the time off, and watching racing videos until I pass out. Which is what happened last night, which is why this User Input is late. Good morning, everyone!

For anyone who shares my affection for motor vehicle racing — surely there must be someone in our audience — I insist that you head towards the iTunes and download a movie called Truth In 24. It’s free, it’s excellent, and it’s a fantastic behind-the-scenes look at the preparations made as a team gets ready for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. To my own astonishment, the preparations are significantly different than the efforts Sparky put into preparing the ZomBee for the 24 Hours of LeMons. I know, I’m just as surprised as you are. It’s a truly excellent movie, even if it was made by Audi. The work, the preparations, and the sheer amounts of technology that go into a race victory at that level are truly astonishing.

To your mind, what is that absolute coolest piece of racing technology?
