Last weekend I got a new phone. My two years was up on my HTC Incredible and I was, as I usually am about these things, excited to get something new. I was trying to decide if I wanted to stay Android and go with the Galaxy Nexus or switch to the Dark Side and go with an iPhone 4S.
From the title, you can probably figure out where I went. After talking it over with my wife (since we usually try to stay on the same technology) and weighing the pros and cons, I said screw it and tried something different.
There are things I like better than the Android and things I don’t like as much. But it’s fun to try something new.
So, Atomic Toasters Brain Trust, what apps should I get?

I use the Flashlight, and iHandy Level. fairly frequently (other than sports score apps).
Waze, obviously.
Nuclear Toast is the most must-have app. Well worth the monthly subscription.

I like to keep things simple. Fatbooth seems to be never ending entertainment for the kids. I have it on an Android phone, but I believe it started out as an iPhone app.
I couldn't figure-out how to turn speaker phone off on my dad's cellphone yesterday. I even tried to pull out the battery, but could not figure-out how to do that as well. I could hear my wife, but she could not hear me. Cellphones taken as a whole are really surprisingly horrible.
Car Minder is top of my list! Keeps track of gas mileage and car maintenance.
